What is Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) ?




ESD refers to the flow of electrical charges between two objects that have different electrical potentials. It occurs when there is contact or proximity between two surfaces and can have significant implications in the field of electronics. For instance, the spark created when we touch a metal object after walking on a carpet is a classic example of ESD.
